Three steps to a new view.

    Unzip the download.

    Keep the extracted folder on your computer.

  2. 02
    Load it in your browser.

    Open the Extensions page, enable Developer mode, choose Load unpacked, and select the folder.

  3. 03
    Open YouTube.

    Reload an existing tab. You can return to Standard view at any time.

A FEW THINGS TO KNOW

Before you settle in.

Does this replace YouTube?

No. ORVIA changes how YouTube is displayed in your browser. Playback and content remain on YouTube. This is an independent project, not affiliated with YouTube or Google.

Which browsers is it designed for?

Desktop Chromium browsers, including Chrome and Brave. The preview is still being tested; YouTube updates can affect individual features. There is no mobile or Safari version at present.

Can I go back to the usual view?

Yes. Use the Standard view icon in the top bar to return to YouTube’s regular layout. Your saved ORVIA layout stays available.

Where are my settings stored?

Your layout and appearance preferences are stored locally in your browser. ORVIA does not require its own account. Read the privacy page for details.
